Inspiring Women in Health: A Celebration of Excellence

Women in Global Health (WGH) and the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine (PSIM) are uniting to illuminate the remarkable women in healthcare who often go unrecognized.

International Women’s Day (IWD) 2024 is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect occasion to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of women in the health sector. We are excited to announce our initiative to create a “Profile Book” that showcases the inspiring stories of women who have made a significant impact and shown incredible resilience in the field of healthcare. This project aims to provide a platform for sharing your experiences and to inspire the next generation of women in the health sector.

We are calling upon all women in the health sector to express their interest in contributing their success stories to this meaningful project. You may also make a submission on behalf of someone known to you for her unwavering determination, profound passion, and remarkable contributions to the health sector.

These stories will serve as a source of inspiration for young and aspiring women in the healthcare industry and will bring well-deserved visibility to the extraordinary work you have been doing.

How to Participate:

To express your interest in sharing your story, please follow these steps:

1. Submit Your Interest: Submit your details on the Google form available at: https://rb.gy/yj3vsm
2. You would be required to share your three biggest accomplishments in your professional journey that in your opinion would inspire and be a source of learning for young aspiring female health professionals. 
3. Deadline: 31st December 2023 11:59 pm PKT
4. Story Submission: Once your expression of interest is accepted, you will be invited to attend a session on “Story Telling” and will receive guidance for story submission. Your story will highlight your personal journey, experiences, achievements, and the impact you’ve made in the health sector. The team at WGH Pakistan will facilitate you, in case you need support with your draft.
5. Review and Selection: A panel will review the story submissions, and selected stories will be included in the profile book. The content will also be used to develop a digital media campaign aimed at increasing the visibility of the great work done by women in the health sector in Pakistan. 
6. IWD 2024 Showcase: The profile book will be showcased on International Women’s Day 2024 at a high profile event to be held in Lahore, Pakistan titled “Inspiring Women in Health: A Celebration of Excellence”. This will be complemented by a comprehensive media campaign to celebrate and recognize the contributors.
