Call for Interns, Associates and Senior Associates

At P2impact, we are offering exciting opportunities for upcoming/aspiring research, policy and development sector professional. At present P2impact is working on gender equity in health workforce, migration health, youth and gender development, and mental health. We are undertaking critical technical assistance assignments for development partners and provincial and federal governments, and looking to expand our young team to scale up some of these critical pieces of work.

Our Internship Program: Through this internship program P2i aims to identify individuals for whom a guided internship in the development sector may have a transformative impact on their personal and professional growth. P2i hopes to create and function as a social impact lever to engage with governments, development partners and communities. These internships are meant to be foot-in-the-door opportunities for those fresh graduates who are keen to start their careers in the development sector and gain invaluable first-hand experience with exposure to high level forums.

Our Associates and Senior Associates: P2impact is supporting development partners, provincial and federal governments in a number of critical assignments and is looking for experienced professionals to facilitate in executing the relevant technical components of these high impact assignments.

Work Teams and Streams

We are looking for candidates in Research team and Comms team. They may be working in Gender and Health workstream, Mental Health workstream, or Technical workstream.

Requisite Qualifications

  • For Interns
  • Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution in relevant discipline with none to less than 1 year of work experience
  • For Associates
  • Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution in relevant discipline (essential)
  • At least 1 to 3 years of work experience in relevant roles/ setting (essential)
  • Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution in relevant discipline (desirable)
  • For Senior Associates
  • Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution in relevant discipline (essential)
  • More than 3 years of work experience in relevant roles/ setting (essential)
  • Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution in relevant discipline (desirable)

Requisite Skills/ Capacities

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis

Work Stream specific Skills

In case of applicants for internship, only interest is desired whereas in case of applicants for associates’ roles, experience is required.

What You’ll Do as an Associate/ Senior Associate

  • Supporting P2i’s work in its ongoing and upcoming activities, projects and specialty focus through dedicated technical support
  • Reviewing and synthesizing information about programs/ projects to identify operational priorities
    Assisting with development of technical content
  • Assisting in policy research activities on assigned priority agendas
  • Conducting desk reviews of international and national policy and strategy documents to identify internationally acceptable standards and best practices
  • Supporting the technical team in developing meaningful analysis and interpretation of data and information captured through performance monitoring reports.
  • Summarizing findings and prepare relevant reports and briefs
  • Developing information briefs and data sets for reports and presentations
  • Providing technical and trouble-shooting assistance
